The Thirty Six Stratagems.
This was quite the interesting read a few days ago, I found this via kongming.net, a three kingdoms/Dynasty Warriors dedicated site. It linked to wikipedia, which is credited (this article anyhow), as credible and trustworthy.
It contains all 36 of the most well known strategies used during that time period(184-280), and to some extent, even today: (One of them is shown to have been used during the 1st Gulf War.)
Long time strategies like these always tend to work in any given situation, depending on if you win, lose, or draw. Not that we'd ever have a chance to use these within MxO (though it'd be awesome), I'd thought it'd a be an interesting read for those who wish.

"Make a sound in the east, then strike in the west - In any battle the element of surprise can provide an overwhelming advantage. Even when face to face with an enemy, surprise can still be employed by attacking where he least expects it. To do this you must create an expectation in the enemy's mind through the use of a feint."
Re: The Thirty Six Stratagems.
Yeah these 'Stratagems' are pretty damn cool.
I guess to even think about implementing them in MxO, we would need to know exactly how each of us PvP, so we can work as one. not only that, but i really do not think the MxO player base is big enough to make effective use of these strategies. not exactly a world war in there is it

I read that long ago. Really good stuff. Nice find travi.
Actually it used to be. Old FH used to implement like strategies tactically. Though most didn't really know it. hehe

Re: The Thirty Six Stratagems.
Including you epy, I don't know how many times I would say: Regroup!
And all I'd get in return:
"F*CK THAT!"
lol

But it would be nice to try and implement some of these into PvP and such in the future. I'm sure we could do it somehow, hehe.

Re: The Thirty Six Stratagems.
Moderator, you can move this to one of our more secure channels if need be. These...strategies need only be employed by Datadyne operatives...
